Exterior Cavity-Mold Design
Designing blow molded parts can begin with free association and forms from the imagination.  As the design begins to develop into a product idea, the designer should begin thinking about the interaction of the plastic and mold that will produce the part.  The visual exterior of many products is formed in one half of the mold called a cavity.  Following are some of the features of cavities the designer will want to consider as the design is developed.
